• What do small business owners in developing countries need to know to grow their business?
• What skills can Americans bring to microfinance?
• How can local partners assist with teaching microfinance business skills?
Anne & Stephanie are 2nd year MBA students who traveled to Nairobi this past May with a team from Kenan-Flagler Business School. They worked to modify a business curriculum for microfinance clients within the Jamii Bora Trust. While working closely with students from Africa Nazarene University, they analyzed the factors that helped entrepreneurs rise from poverty and succeed in business. After gathering this information, they implemented many such life skills into their business curriculum. Learn about the experiences these students had while teaching this curriculum, and see the impact this microfinance group is having on development in Kenya!
